Russell Fulton, who for nearly 20 years held a number of high level positions at the Walden Galleria, has been named the new general manager of the Eastern Hills Mall.
Fulton started at Eastern Hills Mall on Monday. Most recently, he was the Walden Galleria’s director of marketing.
Fulton replaces Judy Serianni, who left the Transit Road mall, to form her own retail and real estate consulting firm.
“Eastern Hills Mall has been headed in the right direction with a focus on every detail,” Fulton said.
The 1.1 million-square-foot mall has been stabilized in recent years after it was acquired by New Jersey-based Mountain Development Corp. The mall is more than 90 percent leased with 85 stores and restaurants including such anchors as Macy’s, Sears, the Bon-Ton and Dave & Buster’s.
Chuck Briedenbach, MDC Retail Property Group managing director, said Fulton was the perfect choice to run Eastern Hills Mall, given his deep retail and marketing experience.
“His reputation for excellence and success precedes him,” Breidenbach said. “Russell is certainly one of those uniquely qualified special leaders who can bring change and confidence to those around him.”
